Home Office Wall Art

A home office wall has two audiences: you, all day, from about an arm's length, and everyone on your calls, seen through a webcam. This page is put together with both in mind. Its quiet middle is botanical — eucalyptus and silver dollar sets, blue and purple hydrangea pairs, fern and leaf prints in sage, navy and black. Around that sit mid-century suns and moon phases, blush and geometric abstracts, one-line portraits and heads of flowers, Frida Kahlo florals for a room that wants colour, chakra and yoga prints for a studio corner, and a short run of black-and-white typography: HOME, Dream Big, Good Vibes Only. There is a medical strand too — floral anatomy, pregnancy and OB-GYN prints — for clinicians who consult from home.

Everything prints to order on heavy matte paper and ships unframed, in seven sizes from 5x7 in (13x18 cm) to 16x20 in (41x51 cm).

What wall art actually works as a video-call background?

Simple images, few of them, and nothing you have to read. A webcam compresses the picture and puts your face in front of it, so a set of three small prints behind your shoulder turns into visual noise while one 16x20 with a single strong shape stays legible. Lettering is the thing to watch: if there are words on the wall, people read them instead of listening to you. Keep the typography prints on a side wall and give the camera wall a leaf set, a sunburst or a brush-stroke abstract. Matte paper helps here as well — there is no sheen to catch a ring light.

Should the wall I look at be different from the wall the camera sees?

Yes, and it is the easiest way to get more out of a small room. You sit close to the wall in front of you, so that one can take detail: hydrangea studies, fine line drawings, anything with small marks that rewards a second look on a long afternoon. The wall behind you is seen at low resolution by other people, so it wants the opposite. Two walls, two jobs, and neither has to compromise for the other.

Do motivational quote prints belong in a home office?

In your own room, yes — that is the real difference between a home office and a shared one. The test I would apply is whether you would still want to read the line in a year, because you will read it several hundred times. A short phrase wears better than a sentence, and plain black lettering wears better than a decorative script. If you are not sure, a print with no words on it never gets tiring.

For a client-facing or clinic office, Office Wall Art is chosen with visitors in mind. The lettering on its own is in Quote & Typography Wall Art, and the leaf and eucalyptus work that fills most of this page is in Botanical Prints.
